Quick 1-2-3 and a Fake Shot

Goalie Preliminary Moves.
Purpose
Requires quick hands and simulates a goalie using a fake shot before passing for better position.

  • Setup

    Groups of 3 form 3m triangle around the post. (A) and (B) have a ball. Use both ends if available.

  • Step 1

    (A) simulates setting for a shot and holds this position, meanwhile (B & C) perform a (1 - 2 -3) passing sequence, initiated by (B)
    1-2-3 pass will be (B to C, C to B, B to C)
    The passes between (B & C) must be lightning fast so (A) doesn't break held ball rule.

  • Step 2

    Instead of shooting, (A) passes to (B). (B) now becomes the player who fakes the shot, while (C & A) perform the (1 - 2 -3) passing sequence.

  • Step 3

    The third time around will be (C) faking the shot while (A & B) pass, completing the loop.

  • Step 4

    Sub-on next group of 3 (if required) after 1 minute.
