  • Setup

    Groups of 3 each require a triangle with 4m sides. Trio choose an 2 intercepting players (A & B), and feeder (C)

  • Step 1

    (A) passes to (C), then quickly moves to intercept (C)'s pass to (B)
    Limit initial passing pace to 50% to make interceptions easy.
    (A) should be moving towards (C) when passing. If flat-footed they won't have the momentum to intercept.

  • Step 2

    If (A) returns ball to (B) then rejoins their starting cone.

  • Step 3

    Now the drill repeats except (B) passes to (A), then intercepts (A)'s pass to (C)

  • Step 4

    Finally (C) passes to (B), then intercepts (B)'s pass to (A)

  • Step 5

    Once players have managed a few easy interceptions, gradually increase the passing speed for added challenge.
