Roll-off/Around Square

Purpose
Fine-tune technique for rolling past defenders to find space in a confined area.

  • Setup

    Each trio require a 5m square and choose an attacker (A), defender (B) and feeder (C)

  • Step 1

    Feeder (C) has the ball. Defender (B) assumes front defensive stance while (A) runs around inside the square.

  • Step 2

    (A) can perform one of two moves to get free - roll-off or roll-around. (B) attempts to intercept.
    Return the ball to (C) either way

  • Step 3

    (A) continues practising these roll manoeuvres for 45-60 seconds before players rotate roles and repeat.
